Girly Pearls

Ladies!!!

This one goes out to you! Honestly, all my post go out to you, but this one in particular! Today, I want to talk about the effortless class of pearls! If you recall one of my past post from the KCStyle Collab –All about the Pearls then you know thats pearls are my favorite gemstone. I have always loved a good pearl, be it for accessorizing an outfit or adding to decor for an event. I am here for the PEARLS! Pearls have been around for a long time in women’s fashion and they are not going anywhere anytime soon. Pearls were traditionally worn with formal and elegant pieces to events. Given as gifts to women and known as prized possessions. Pearls can now be worn in an array of settings with many different styles of clothing and events.

My take on pearls with this look was for a classy yet casual work look. I love to be on trend with the latest fashion, but timeless pieces never go out of style. Let’s start from the top and work our way down with today’s look. I began this look with a gift from my Husband (boyfriend at the time). A faux pearl and gold necklace. Now, I am a sucker for a diamond or a real gem, but I am even more excited for a reasonably priced dupe (hence my take on affordable fashion).  He bought this piece for me from JCP one day as a little thinking of you gift and I love to wear it. It paired perfectly with this look as it blended in with the top just enough to be an accent and not the statement of this lookI recently found this shirt with the on trend bell sleeves from Burlington and could not pass it up as I thought it was unique in its sleeves being short and not 3/4 or long as a lot of the sleeve trendy shirts are. The shirt is also an ivory color matching well with the idea of pearls all around. I added my Target brand A New Day ankle pants to this look before completing it with the statement pieces. I decided to stack some pearls and gold bangles on my arm to accent the necklace and finish them off with my pearl shoes I snagged from AmiClubwear. Believe it or not these are actually a dupe of a name brand shoe that I saw on an inspirations page and I had to find me a similar pair (within my budget). To enhance this look just a bit I opted for my thrifted bag from the infmaous Goodwill that can double as a roll down clutch. This look is one of my all time favorites and was a huge hit at work among some of my students and colleagues. What are your thoughts on this look? Let me know in the comments below!
