Polka Dots and a Smile, Simplicity Series 2016

As we move into Day 3 of the #SimplicitySeries2016 check out this basic polka dot top and simple blue skirt. This is one of my favorite thrift finds yet. I bought this shirt about 3 years ago and it has been my friend on many occasions. When I think about simplicity, the first pattern I always think about is dots!!! This shirt has a classic high neck that is simple and elegant allowing me to go without a necklace and it is loose enough to fit comfortably while shaped perfectly for the curvy girl!

I decided to keep it simple (which is turning out to be a bit of a challenge for me) and just added a blue pencil skirt. No lines, stripes or fancy buttons here which brought this outfit to life in a simple classic way. This skirt I also found at the thrift store some years ago and we have had our ups and downs (with my inconsistent weight) but we’re friends again and I love it!!

I decided to wear some simple silver strapped sandals which I found for the low. These were brand new and are Steve Maddens. These sandals are not only simple, they are effortless, and versatile.

As I am a firm believer that one should engage a Red lippie with polka dots and simple patterns… I am confident I will always enjoy a little Ruby Woo when it comes to pulling together a no make up face!

I finished this look with the help of my groupon special purse and Natural hair bun and flat twist (I have been swimming every day for the past few weeks and I need a break from wiggin).
